Free chipping is provided by the Lake Valley Fire Protection District to both the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County residents. Funding is provided by the California Department of Forestry and Fire-Protection. This service is not available to residents with property on USFS land. Please contact USFS Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit for assistance. This is a change from previous years.
